March Photo Challenge
Last month I hosted a photo challenge on a group I manage on facebook. The challenge was to take a photo every day. I put a personal challenge on myself to use my camera and not my phone and also to take a more lifestyle approach each day. Taking a photo every day is not unusual for me but having my camera is an entirely different issue. I don’t often want to haul it with me especially since its my job. I know that sounds crazy as I LOVE photography but it can feel like lugging my job with me at times.
The challenge was a huge success in my book. I ended up with so many great photos that I would not have had if I had not pushed myself and hauled that camera EVERYWHERE. I had a ton of lifestyle photos that I instantly fell in love with. I also had a few awesome photo sessions in the studio that I booked for myself to push my creativity. It really was an amazing month. I will say, my final day yesterday was bittersweet. I was relieved that the pressure is now gone but I am still itching to continue shooting! This is not what I was expecting as I assumed full burn out would hit by the 31st. I have booked a bunch of personal sessions for this month (Alice in Wonderland themed, Belly dancer, More butterflies, Flamingo themed, balloons AND more) so trust me when I say, begin the stalking now! It is going to be a fabulous month. I will blog when I can but if you are on instagram, be sure to follow me there, as I have been enjoying sharing my photography journey on that platform (insta).
Here is a quick slideshow of my March Photo Challenge! As I watched others who participated I really felt I got to see a piece of them and who they are. I hope you can see (and feel) the same when you watch mine!
