My Bliss.

Welcome to my blog. Finding balance between  photography, family and everything in between.

Got a wild hair to make some dessert on Sunday evening. I always love baking but time is hard to come by these days.  I came across this recipe (with a few modifications I made) and figured it was a quick one so Id give it a try. Plus Churro Cake?! Yummy!  I grabbed my little helper and we whipped this out in like 10-15 minutes (including cleanup....Just had to wait for the baking time).  And it was DELISH!

Crust: (2 cans) Seamless Cresent Dough Sheets

Filling: (16 0z) Cream Cheese (room temperature) (1/2 cup) Sugar (1) Egg (1 tsp) Vanilla

Topping: (1/4 cup) Sugar (1 tbs) Cinnamon (melted butter about 1 tbs)

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Bake time 25 minutes

1. Mix the cream cheese and Sugar until smooth, mix in egg and vanilla ~ Set aside 2. Mix in a separate bowl the topping ingredients- Set aside 3. Roll out the dough and place one layer in a greased pan (a rectangular pan works best but I made mine work with a square pan, just roll the dough out according to the size of your pan) 4. Layer your filling on top of the dough and spread out evenly 5. Take your second Dough sheet and layer it on top of your filling 6. Bake for about 25 minutes 7. melt some butter and layer it on top of your cake (this will make it easier for the topping to stick) 8. Sprinkle your topping mixture on your cake.

Thats it :) Super easy...and super DELICIOUS!  Let me know if you give it a whirl!

And just because this cracks me up...Here is Lily helping me. Im just thankful she had "Some" clothes on under that apron. ha ha ha ha
