Welcome to my blog. Finding balance between  photography, family and everything in between.

Lux Sucre Desserts

This month, I am featuring locally owned businesses that I love. As a small business owner, I want to do what I can to support others as I know this pandemic has made things very difficult. My hope is these businesses will make it through. Many of them have come up with creative ways to push forward and keep things running.

For today’s feature, we have Lux Sucre Desserts located in Wilsonville. It is interesting that I say small businesses have found creative ways to stay afloat when I feel that I have also found creative ways to navigate this new norm. Or at least, I am finding places I have never heard or finding new unique adventures. The first place I go to is facebook of course. I started a thread asking for recommendations on any locally owned businesses. Lux Sucre was mentioned in that thread. (Thank you, Darla!) I took one peek at their website and instagram feed and was instantly in love with both their beautiful photography (instant in for me right?) AND their mouth watering treats. Their current feature was their Mother’s Day boxes and goodies. I quickly forwarded the website to the hubby and said get ANYTHING from this shop for Mother’s Day!

Dan came through with flying colors! Lux Sucre delivered our Mothers’s Day box for two (which was really enough for four people) and some adorable macarons that were a gift for my mom. I am not usually a breakfast person but I called it Brunch and ate enough to cover breakfast and lunch. Every single thing was completely delicious and I couldn’t even pick a favorite treat as all the way to the Rose, Vanilla loose leaf tea was heaven.

I know things look so different these days but we are truly in a place to focus on the important things and really make them special. This Mother’s Day was different. But I LOVED it. I want to thank Lux Sucre for helping making it special and providing us with a great start to our day! I am completely looking forward to ordering more goodies in the future.

I encourage you guys to check them out! Or at least give them a follow on social until you can’t resist making an order. I know from years of shooting weddings, most of your income comes from our very limited wedding season here in Oregon. So you can imagine how difficult this non-existent wedding season is going to be for those that count on it. So make an order and support this small business! Don’t forget to take photos and tag me so I can see what you ordered! I want to drool over the deliciousness!
